Biography

I received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and his Ph.D. from the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2023.

I served as a project assistant at Boğaziçi University from 2013 to 2014 and as a research assistant from 2014 to 2016, followed by a graduate research assistantship at The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2023. After completing his doctorate, he continued his career in the United States, working as an Applied Data Scientist at Transtek International Group from 2023 to 2024 and as a Senior AI Engineer at Renesas Electronics America from 2024 to 2026.

Since August 27, 2026, I have served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology, where my research focuses on structural health monitoring, nondestructive damage detection, smart sensors, and smart cities.

As of September 2026, I have 12 published articles; 2 patents, one granted and the other pending; and 8 awards received through academic and industry-academia collaborative research grants.
